About the Playwright & Producer: The story and original music from "Letters from the Ghetto" is based loosely on Gloria Harrison's life growing up in Dorchester, an inner city of Boston. This production has been a labor of love for Harrison for nearly 10 years. Gloria also originates the role of the mother, Juanita.

About Cast Member: Glinda Allen
Glinda Allen has been performing for the past 40 years, wowing audiences at community and national events. Allen started her career at the age of five and even performed the National Anthem for the Presidential candidates in 2008 at the Milford Dome in New Hampshire. Glinda has also performed for Bill Clinton and the First Lady, Michelle Obama. She has been a lead vocalist in various Gospel and R&B groups. Allen's voice has inspired and touched the hearts of her friends, family and everyone that has had the pleasure of hearing her sing.
